William Hay Aitken
WILLIAM HAY MACDOWELL HUNTER AITKEN (1841–1927) was born in Liverpool, England. He was educated at Wadham College, Oxford and went on to be Vicar of Christ’s Church, Liverpool. D. L. Moody convinced this popular preacher to give up his church and become an evangelist. Missioner Aitken drew large crowds. He was an evangelical within the church of England.
