Nathanael Emmons

Nathanael Emmons (1745–1840) was born in East Haddam, Connecticut. He attended college at Yale and graduated in 1767. He was a minister at New York, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. He was a Calvinist theologian, part of the New Divinity movement of New England theology.
